Athletes Who Tweet was founded by Jon Parks in April of 2009. As a die-hard sports fan, Jon was amused by the interest and controversy Twitter was causing in professional sports, most notably the NBA. The idea was born to develop a web site that would allow sports fans to not only find their favorite athletes on Twitter, but also view recent tweets from athletes in league/sport specific feeds.
